• Using your imagination and what you know about folktales, write a folktale using animals as characters.
• You can use another setting for your characters like a different country, or you can even use Texas if you want. Be creative.
• If you are stuck, remember the use of folktales -- folktales were used to explain unknown events or provide warnings to children.
• When you are done writing your story, share it with your family and friends. Then, see if they can tell your story back to you.
