I Love to Read: The Fantastic Flying Books -- Create A Book
Big Thought
In The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, Mr. Morris loved his books! He especially loved making and writing his books. During this activity, you will create your very own book, just like Mr. Morris!
Create a Book
Recommended supplies: drawing paper, crayons, markers, yarn, magazines, construction paper
- Take three pieces of construction paper and cut each sheet into four pieces.
- On each piece of the cut-out paper, write a single word that describes yourself in the upper left-hand corner.
- Below the word, draw a picture that relates to the word.
- Use these pictures as an outline to create your storybook. You can add words in between or on a different sheet to create a book about yourself. Make sure your story has a beginning, middle, and end.
- Punch three holes on the left-hand side of the paper. Use ribbon or yarn to bind the pages together.
- Share your book with family and friends!
